James West centre director
James and his family moved to Wales to take over the running of the centre in 2022.
He has a background in Outdoor Education, having worked at various centre across the UK.
In his spare time, you can usually find him in the mountains, particularly if they’re covered in snow!
Neil richardson centre manager
Neil is the longest serving member of the team and has been working at Red Ridge for over 40 years!
He has a huge amount of experience, that he uses to manage all of our Health + Safety compliance.
A proud grandfather, Neil loves introducing children to adventurous activities.
rob baldwin activities manager
Rob is another member of the 40+ club, having started at the centre in the late 80s.
He is often the first face you see when you arrive at Red Ridge, and is responsible for managing all of the activities we run, both on and off site.
Outside of work, you’ll find him working on his campervan, or walking his dog Millie.
James grafton senior instructor
James first came to Red Ridge in 2007 on work experience from college and hasn’t really left since!
Coming back for odd days when at university studying BSc Adventure recreation, and finally joined on a full-time basis in 2012.
He is a big Birmingham city fan and loves paddle boarding.
Lizzie kinge Instructor
Alongside her work as an instructor, Lizzie does a brilliant job of making sure our kit is in tip-top shape.
If anything needs sewing, Lizzie can mend it!
She is a keen caver, and is a member of the Derbyshire Cave Rescue team.
jacob jones instructor
Jacob joined the team in 2023 having previously worked at the Christian Mountain Centre.
He enjoys running, and really good coffee!
He’ll happily turn his hand to anything practical, which is useful given how much maintenance the centre needs!
marji james catering supervisor
Marji heads up our catering and hospitality team.
She makes sure everything will be ready for your arrival, and that there’s plenty of yummy food to eat.
She’s also a long-suffering Wales Rugby fan!
susan richards catering team
Like her sister Marji, Susan has been an ever-present member of the team for a number of years.
You’ll often see her serving dinner with a big smile on her face!
debbie rees catering team
Debbie is a second-generation Red Ridge employee and works with her Mum, Marji in our hospitality team.
She is also the proud owner of the largest of all the Red Ridge dogs, a Doberman named Sasha.
grace dawes trainee instructor
Grace is the newest member of the Red Ridge team, and brings a fresh energy to the team.
She has a degree in Human Geography and recently graduated from Edinburgh University.
